New York!

We always enjoy time with family in NY.  This time we had an adventure on the way there.  The 9 cousins enjoyed spending some time at the lake and making up plays together this year!
The van broke down on the Thruway.

So we had it towed and "fixed" in Fredonia

And we drove about 50 more miles before it broke down again.

The kids were pretty excited about their second ride in a tow truck for the day.  This time we were towed all the way to Webster.

Fun at the fish hatchery

The kids love to ride in the boat at Cayuga Lake!!

S'more night!

Elaina, Hannah and Audrey loved riding the jet ski!

Taughannock  State Park

They put on 3 plays for us in the backyard tent and all 9 had some sort of part from stage crew, to narrator, to cast and crew.  It was fantastic to see them work together and have so much fun!

Nana made a phoon hunt for everyone.

Some thought it was silly, and some were disappointed it wasn't a real animal!

Hubbard/Carlin/Anderson "Minute-to-Win-It" night!!  So much fun- thanks, Mark and Megan!

Greensburg

We enjoyed a long weekend with Grammy and Grampa in Greensburg over the 4th.  Here are some highlights:
Love the big slide at Mammoth Park!!

It was the first time in a real cave for the girls.... Owen had already been to Laurel Caverns but we all still really enjoyed our visit there!

Cucumber Falls was looking a lot bigger than the last time we saw it!

Ohiopyle State Park is always a favorite.  I LOVED all of the Black Eyed Susans around the main waterfall!

Lots of waterfalls along the bike trail there too...

Going over this bridge never gets old.

Vacation!!

We spent 7 nights in Williamsburg last week and had a fabulous time!  Here are a few of the many highlights (in random order!)

Busch Gardens!!

Elaina went on the Lochness Monster with me and then again 2 more times with Erik- it was my first loop roller coaster as a kid and I loved sharing it with her too!
We loved the European theme, lots of rides and great shows!
Coolin' off in the shade while Dad and Elaina hit another roller coaster
This was Erik's favorite place!!

USS Wisconsin, Nauticus Museum in Norfolk

This aquarium was really fun!

We took a drive on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel

The girls thought this dead puffer fish was a pretty cool find on the beach!

Virginia Beach

Our little spot- with plenty of shade and snacks, but they still spent most of the time in the water!

Elaina caught this toad on our walk one night- we couldn't catch any of the hundreds of jumping frogs that scattered everywhere on the path.... wish we at least knew what kind they were!

Governor's Palace in Williamsburg
This was an impressive/intimidating entryway!

We did the RevQuest/spy game while we were there- it was a fun way to explore the city!

Stylin' it on the tennis courts at our hotel!

We stopped in DC on our way to VA so we could see some of the landmarks there.

We spent lots of time in our hotel pool.  It was a record breaking week of heat while we were there with temps in the mid-upper 90s and heat index 105-115 everyday.
