Fun in the Snow!!

 I love that we have a built in sledding hill right in our backyard.  All three kids are having fun out in the snow this year!

Car Conversations

Once we get past the hassle of bundling kids and strapping them in, I love car rides with the family!  In our small, confined capsule of the minivan there is a little bit of everything- singing, giggling, teasing, games, and lots of conversations.  Lately, my favorite thing is to just listen to the chatter and conversation between 3 little voices in the back.  Here's an example from last night:

Elaina:  "Owen?".... pause... silence... "O-win?!".... more silence... "O-WIN-UH!!!"" (because adding extra syllables to words and the "uh" sound at the end seems especially effective)
Owen:  "Elaina, can you please stop talking?  Can't you see I'm trying to daydream?"

A dollar is worth an hour of fun

I love the dollar store/dollar bins!  I got these light up reindeer noses and headbands and it has been all day entertainment!  They even made a sleigh out of our ride-on fire truck toy.  And yes, Audrey has a set too but isn't so keen on wearing it for more than a minute or so, thus no picture of her.  Now to finish the day with the "Rudolph" movie!

Christmas Tree

We found a nice place to cut our own Christmas tree this year!  The last time we did this was in Colorado with my parents, so we were happy to have them along for the adventure again.

Here we are in 2010.  There are lots more trees to choose from here!

Our Pilgrim Boy

Owen had a Thanksgiving Feast/Celebration at his school on Wednesday.  The kids got to choose whether to dress up as Pilgrims or Indians.  I think he makes an adorable pilgrim!

Audrey's songs

Audrey loves to sing.  She has many songs that she knows the words to and sings regularly, but she also likes to make up her own songs to familiar tunes.  Here's an example: listen for "I see a bug" a "little snake" and then the bug is all gone but apparently says "oink, oink."  At the end she is singing about playing outside on the grass.  It's hard to get her to keep singing once she sees the camera, so I got this one on the monitor.
