I have been reading a book that talks about how we celebrate all of the firsts with our kids- first smile, first wave, first time walking, etc.... However, we often never realize their lasts- last time they want me to sing "Jesus Loves Me" before I tuck them in, last time they will sit on my lap to listen to a story, last time he gives me a hug before getting on the bus in the morning, and so on. Audrey picked these dandelions for me yesterday and I hope it's not the last bunch of wildflowers I get from my girls. (Ok, weeds, but I actually think they are pretty especially after such a drab winter!) Just in case, I took a picture. Audrey has her last day of preschool coming up and I can hardly believe it- bittersweet, for sure! Cherishing the firsts is easy- letting go of the lasts is tough!! This simple, sweet gesture made my day!
