Climber

Elaina has always been ahead of the game when it comes to strength and dexterity.   

She never crawled on her knees- it was always on her hands and feet.   

She started sitting herself up from a laying down position on her own when she was 5 months old.

 

 

I never guessed she would be able to get up this slide back in October, 2007 at 8 months old...

But she did it, with her tongue sticking out and completely determined...

And at 5 she is still determined to reach for the stars...

And made it all the way to the top of this climbing wall at camp at 5 1/2.  I'm not sure if she had her tongue sticking out to help her up because she was too far away for me to see, but either way, the determination and strength that she has shown since before she was a year old is still there!  You go girl!!!

Cousins

We had a fantastic visit here with the Carlin cousins on Memorial Day weekend!

Alaska

The whole 1st grade at Owen's school did a play about America a few weeks ago.  They did a fantastic job singing, dancing and giving lots of information about America and 6 different states.  Owen's class did Alaska... the whole show was 30 minutes long but here's a clip of Owen's class.

Ballerina

Elaina and her whole class did an amazing job at her dance recital yesterday.  This video is from the dress rehearsal on Friday night.  We are so proud of our beautiful ballerina!

Bathroom Melodies

 Ever since she discovered she had a voice, Audrey has loved to sing.  One of her favorite places to sing is in the bathroom.  Maybe one day I will have video of her singing where you can see her face, but for now I get the best video when she doesn't know I'm taping her.  This particular session, to the tune of "This is My Father's World," is only a small segment of what she sang that day.
