Happy Birthday with Hats

We celebrated Erik's birthday last night with the family.  Owen designed a hat for the birthday boy and then continued to make several more that the rest of us could "purchase" for anywhere between 1-3 cents each.  So we all raided our piggy banks and wore these stylin' hats for the party:

As he was opening his cards, the kids would blow their noise makers "if it was a good one."  Needless to say, there was lots of noise going on!

This special "DaD" birthday hat has a black feather on top so that it also has Steelers colors!

I gave Elaina a surprise birthday party with some of her closest friends.  She was so excited AND surprised!  Elephants are her favorite animal so that was the theme:

"Ellie" was her favorite Christmas gift- she played the games, helped open the presents and even ate some of the peanuts the other kids cracked open and ate at the party!
