Biking
We tried out our new bike rack last weekend and made it a camping/biking weekend. We took 2 trips, both about an hour. Owen did great on his own and the girls did mostly great being smashed up against each other in the bike carrier for that long!

Camping
Last summer the kids complained that one night of camping was not enough, so this year we increased it to two nights. Other than the thunderstorms that rolled through on the second night, we had a great trip and I have to agree with them again this year that 3 nights would be better. Although we had some mishaps and learned a few lessons, they were fantastic campers considering that they are just 2, 4, and 6 years old. It was fun and we were all exhausted for at least 2 days after getting home, but it was well worth it.
How can you not love camping when there's S'mores?!
Owen took this shot... pretty good!!
This is the only picture I have of the campsite... wish I would have taken one of the whole site. It was a walk-in, so we had lots of space and shade. The kids want this exact site next year.
Idlewild
We had a super fun day at Idlewild with our family, Grammy and Grampa and Uncle Kris, Aunt Jenny and Norah.
Motorcycles!!
Elaina loved EVERYTHING about the park this year!
Storybook Forest is always a highlight
I love that there are so many things for they youngest visitors to do at this park!

LegoFest
Erik and I took Owen to LegoFest to celebrate completing his first full year of school. I can't remember the last time that we both did something with just him, so it was a special time for all 3 of us.

Pickin' Strawberries
Picking strawberries and enjoying all of the tasty treats afterwards is one of my favorite memories of summer from growing up. There was a farm right behind our house, so all we had to do was walk past our backyard to get to the strawberry patch. It's not so easy here in PA, but I finally managed to find a place about 45 minutes from us that allowed kids to pick too.
We picked 10 quarts of strawberries between the 4 of us- much more than I expected them to have patience for!

Flower Girl
Elaina is all about the flowers and bugs this year. She catches any bug she sees, and we almost always have a beautiful arrangement of wildflowers/weeds as the centerpiece for our kitchen table. So sweet!!
