Siblings

I have been cherishing watching our 3 kids enjoy spending so much time together this summer.  Sure we have our moments every day of bickering and whining (just this afternoon I had heard enough and left Erik with the kids so I could just get away for a couple of hours), but each day there are moments I would like to just freeze and always remember.  I am so grateful to be home with these precious ones every day!
Picnic lunch on our deck

Fun with Food

Such simple ways to bring smiles (or eeewwws!)
I let the kids make their own pizza shapes one night and it turned into a feast with all of the stuffed animals at the dinner table!

Audrey chose to make hers into Minnie Mouse

A fun dessert!  Notice how our bug girl is the only one NOT saying "eewww!"

4th of July

A little late being posted, but here's some of the fun we had on the 4th:
Audrey got frustrated with the poppers, but she could do the sparklers!

Biking

We tried out our new bike rack last weekend and made it a camping/biking weekend.  We took 2 trips, both about an hour.  Owen did great on his own and the girls did mostly great being smashed up against each other in the bike carrier for that long!
Owen developed his own signals for starting and stopping:  1 honk on his bike horn for stop and 2 honks for go.  His legs got tired quite often pedaling for that long, so there was quite a bit of honking!
Riding over and along the river was so relaxing and refreshing!

Camping

Last summer the kids complained that one night of camping was not enough, so this year we increased it to two nights.  Other than the thunderstorms that rolled through on the second night, we had a great trip and I have to agree with them again this year that 3 nights would be better.  Although we had some mishaps and learned a few lessons, they were fantastic campers considering that they are just 2, 4, and 6 years old.  It was fun and we were all exhausted for at least 2 days after getting home, but it was well worth it.
How can you not love camping when there's S'mores?!
Owen took this shot... pretty good!!
This is the only picture I have of the campsite... wish I would have taken one of the whole site.  It was a walk-in, so we had lots of space and shade.  The kids want this exact site next year.

Idlewild

We had a super fun day at Idlewild with our family, Grammy and Grampa and Uncle Kris, Aunt Jenny and Norah.
 Motorcycles!!
Elaina loved EVERYTHING about the park this year!
Storybook Forest is always a highlight
I love that there are so many things for they youngest visitors to do at this park!
